Techdamentals vs InvestingPro Fair Value

A fair value inside a portal that also picks stocks for you, or a fair value that shows its work and picks nothing.

Who each one is for

InvestingPro is the paid tier of Investing.com. Its Fair Value averages seventeen valuation models (discounted cash flow, comparables, dividend models) into one figure per stock. Around that figure sit ProPicks, lists of stocks chosen by a machine-learning model with past returns quoted next to them; WarrenAI, a chat assistant; a health score; a screener across 180,000-plus instruments; news, quotes and calendars; and, since late 2025, chart analysis. It is sold through a rolling promotional price.

Techdamentals does one thing: it values a US-listed company four ways, shows each method's figure, blends them into a fair value, checks the inputs against a second source, and reads the chart alongside. There are no picks, no chat, no news feed, and no ads at any tier. It is the same $10 a month every day.

What you're comparingInvestingProTechdamentals
The fair valueAn average of seventeen models. The individual models and their weights aren't shown per stockFour methods (cash flow over 20 years, cash flow over 10 years, profit per share over 10 years, sales growth), each with its own figure on the page, the blend weights stated, and a plain-English note when one couldn't run
PicksProPicks: lists of stocks chosen by a model, with the returns of past picks quotedNone. No picks, no ratings, no list of what to do next. A fair value and the reasoning behind it, and the decision stays yours
ChatWarrenAI answers questions in natural languageNo chat. Every result carries a written "why this verdict": the math, what it rests on, whether cheap is good, and what would flip it, all built from the figures on the same page
Checking the dataOne data set, described as 25 years across 180,000-plus instrumentsThe price checked against a second, independent source; sales checked two ways; a failed check is marked unverified rather than hidden

Where InvestingPro is better

Breadth, and one login for everything. 180,000-plus instruments worldwide against US-listed companies only. Twenty-five years of data against about five. News, quotes, calendars, a screener and a chat assistant in one place, where Techdamentals is two focused apps and a newsletter. If you want a single portal that covers the whole market and answers questions in a chat box, InvestingPro is the fuller product.

Where Techdamentals is different

The price, and the date

InvestingPro's pricing page at investing.com/pro/pricing was read on 30 September 2026. On that day it showed a percentage discount with a countdown rather than a plain price, so no figure is quoted here; that page has whatever is current. Techdamentals is $10 a month for Pro, covering both apps, cancel anytime.
